The store was started as a way for the Cantin family and their friends to get the natural and vegetarian food they were looking for that was unavailable elseware.  The business started out as a food cooperative and evolved into a retail business as less and less people wanted to put in the work to keep a coop business running. 

Today's Green Street Natural Food is all about offering the best natural and organic food and supplements that are on the market today.  We do all of this without losing the personal touches that are found in small businesses and that are lost in today's big business.

At Green Street Natural Food we provide the service that is lacking in today's big business.  By knowing as much as we can about the products that we sell we are able to answer the questions that would go unanswered elseware.

Winnie, Jerry, and Jason

Winnie, Wife and Mother of four, is the heart of Green St.  She was the driving force behind its creation and 29 years later she is one of the main people that keeps the business going strong.  She is a self taught, years of reading about natural healing and making sure that it works by trying it out, natural consultant.  She will always have a smile for you and a word of encouragement.

Jerry, Husband and Father of four, is backbone of Green St.  He was here at the beginning of the business and throughout the years has built most, if not all, of what Green St. is today.  Jerry is the financial backer of the business and is always around to lend a hand.  Another self taught natural consultant Jerry is very good at what he does and that is everything.

Jason, Son of Jerry and Winnie, is the lifeblood of Green St.  He has been working full time at Green St. since 1997.  After Graduating from Quinnipiac College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, Jason returned to Green St. to take over the day to day operations.  Jason was raised using natural medicine to cure his aches and pains, and rarely went to see a doctor.  Due to his up bringing and based on the natural healing books he has read, Jason is very knowledgable in the natural health field. 
On the personal side of things.  Jason and his wife Kristen have been happily married 4 years.  Their first son Gabriel was born in July of 2005 and they would like to announce the birth of their second child Logan.  He was born May 28, 2007.  9 lbs, 9 oz, and 20 inches.
